RALLY AND MARCH: SAT. APRIL 5th
As a follow-up to our last two events, attended by over 500 people,
RTD is pleased to announce what will be our largest rally to date as we collaborate with Newtown Action Alliance and a host of others!
Rock This Democracy: HANDS OFF! will take place outdoors on Saturday April 5th, beginning at 1 pm on the Pleasance at the intersection of
Route 25 and Route 302 in Newtown, CT. This huge local rally is in tandem with hundreds of other Hands Off! rallies taking place across the country to demand that Musk, Trump, and this entire administration get their HANDS OFF our social security, our critical agencies, our private information, our democracy, our common sense gun safety regulations and more! This free, public event will include live music, notable speakers, self expression, action items, and more with the safety support of police presence throughout the afternoon. Our rain date is Sunday, April 6th.
Starting at 1 pm with rally outdoors at The Pleasance at 1 Main Street in Newtown CT and ending with a march to the flagpole. Live band, notable speakers, self-expression, action items, details below:
To ensure the success of our April 5th rally we are raising funds to cover costs: police presence, stage, rental fees, sound, insurance, etc.
