In Solidarity With the Family of Renee Good and the City of Minneapolis
RALLY 4 RENEE
Organized by Rock This Democracy, Newtown Action Alliance, and Concerned Citizens

On Saturday, January 10, at 2 pm in front of the old police station at 3 Main Street in Newtown, CT, citizens will gather to protest the OUTRAGEOUS violence and LIES being perpetrated by ICE and the Trump administration across America and to stand in solidarity with the family and community of Renee Good, a 37 year old mother killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis on Wednesday.

JOIN US with your signs, your voices, your solidarity, your cameras, and your determination to stand for JUSTICE, SAFETY, and TRUTH! There will be speakers, music, solidarity and action together! Parking is available in rear of station (use Sugar Street entrance across from Elm Drive) and along Main Street and at nearby parking lots around center of town. This event is rain or shine and will run from 2 pm til at least 3:15 pm. PLEASE NOTE: Those attending this peaceful public rally participate at their own risk. There is some sloped ground and some pot holes in front of station.

It is a sloped walk up to station if you park in rear or along Main. Attendees will adhere to all rules regarding pedestrians:
cross the street ONLY by following lights and signage or a policeman’s instruction. DO NOT approach vehicles or lean into traffic. Remain on SIDEWALKS or grass ONLY if you are near edge of road. Our goal is to maximize the free flow of traffic at this highly visible location.
