NO KINGS NEWTOWN RALLY! October 17th, 1:30 to 3:00 pm at 3 Main Street, Newtown with march to flagpole at 2:30 pm.
RALLY, REGISTER, RAP and RESIST!
Organized by Rock This Democracy and Newtown Action Alliance, this event offers easy parking, high visibility, safety, volunteer staff, live music, notable speakers (TBA), and solidarity as we exercise our right to assembly and free speech! Park by 1:20, join us at 1:30, and at 2:30 we march to flagpole. Event concludes by 3:00 approximately.
If parking at 3 Main itself (the old police station) please park behind the building, not in the front parking lot. Please enter lot from Sugar St (Route 302). If you must drive in from Main, please use the second (more southern) entry. If you have a handicapped passenger you can drop them off there at the lot before parking, but in that case please try to arrive by 1:15. Feel free to bring a chair. There is also limited space in the upper lot for two or three cars to park if they need to have a handicapped passenger or an elderly person stay in the car for the event. Please look for volunteers in orange shirt to guide you.

In America, we don’t put up with would-be kings. NO KINGS is a national day of action and mass mobilization in response to increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption from Trump and his allies. We’ve watched as they’ve cracked down on free speech, detained people for their political views, threatened to deport American citizens, and defied the courts. They’ve done this all while continuing to serve and enrich their billionaire allies.
The flag doesn’t belong to Donald Trump. It belongs to us. We’re not watching history happen. We’re making it.
